Is the online keyboard test private?

Yes. The keyboard test and mouse test run locally in your browser. No keyboard or mouse data is collected, stored, or uploaded.

Why are some system shortcuts missing?

Shortcuts such as Alt + Tab, Win, and Ctrl + Alt + Delete may be intercepted by the operating system before the browser can capture them.

What if the keyboard test does not detect a key?

Click an empty area to return focus to the page, then try again. Cross-check in another browser or device; if it never registers, the key or connection may be faulty.

Why does a key keep repeating or appear stuck?

Orange means the browser received repeated events. This is normal while holding a key; if it continues untouched, clean the keycap, reconnect the keyboard, and retest.

Can I test a wet or freshly cleaned keyboard?

Do not power or test a damp keyboard. Disconnect it and let it dry fully. Internal liquid or multiple unexpected keys should be handled by a qualified technician.

Is the keyboard test a definitive hardware diagnosis?

The tool shows events received by your browser. It is useful for quick checks, but system shortcuts, firmware, the browser, and the operating system can affect results.

A free online mouse test for buttons, wheel, and tracking

This mouse test visualizes the browser events generated by your mouse. Use the dedicated test area to verify standard and side buttons, scroll direction, pointer coordinates, movement distance, and the path of the cursor. The page also estimates the rate at which movement events reach the browser.

How to test your mouse

Online mouse test questions

Why do Back and Forward buttons sometimes navigate the browser?

The test area prevents normal navigation when the browser exposes these side-button events. Mouse software, extensions, or operating-system remapping can still handle them before the page.

Is the displayed polling rate the hardware polling rate?

It is an estimate based on browser movement events. Event coalescing, the operating system, browser scheduling, and screen refresh rate can all affect the result.

Does right-click testing open the context menu?

The context menu is disabled only inside the mouse test area so the right button can be checked. Right-click works normally elsewhere on the page.
